Well, this isn’t what Philadelphia Eagles fans wanted to see.

Okay, let’s do some inventory on this Philadelphia Eagles team. The coaching was better in Week 2, but that two-point conversion was debatable. It doesn’t matter though because this team lost to the Los Angeles Rams for more reasons than a failed two-point conversion.

Brandon Graham, Miles Sanders, and Lane Johnson all made their 2020 debuts. The latter seemed to work very well with Nate Herbig as the Eagles offensive line that was much maligned in Week 1 (and for good reason) cleared holes for the running game and kept Carson Wentz vertical for the most part in a bounce-back game for them.

Still, even with all of that being said, the facts are the facts. This team isn’t as good as we thought they’d be, at least not right now. The passing game is out of sync. Philly’s stars on both sides of the ball are failing to make more plays than they’re actually making. The defense has been awful in the red zone.

Philly’s 0-2, and after a Dallas Cowboys shocked the Atlanta Falcons in come-from-behind fashion (the Falcons always let you back in the game), Philly shares the cellar with the New York Giants. They’re also 0-2. At the time of this story being published, the Arizona Cardinals are killing the Washington Football Team. They, like the Cowboys will be 1-1 after two games.

It may feel like it right now, but the season is a long way from being over. Here are two of about 20 takeaways that come after another loss by Philly, their second loss in two weeks.
