Philadelphia Eagles add defensive reinforcements ahead of Ravens game
The Philadelphia Eagles add reinforcements ahead of Week 6’s game.
All week leading up to the Philadelphia Eagles‘ Week 6 game versus the Baltimore Ravens, everyone who is anyone has spent time talking about what Philly has to do to limit the reigning NFL MVP, Lamar Jackson, and all of those compadres that he brings with him on the offensive side of the ball.
Often, the topic of the Eagles being shorthanded has come up, but if you’re a fan of this team, good news came on the eve of yet another must-win game. The good news is this. It looks like Philly’s getting some reinforcements on the defensive side of the ball.
Two Philadelphia Eagles veterans are activated.
After Philly announced on Tuesday that they were opening 21-day practice windows for both veteran defensive end Vinny Curry and safety Will Parks, they announced less than 24 hours prior to their second straight game versus an AFC North opponent that they were indeed activating both Curry and Parks for Week 6’s game.
Most of us probably should have seen this coming as they also waived a defensive back, Grayland Arnold, and another defensive end, CaseyToohill in subsequent moves. Since then, the ‘Birds’ have added Arnold back to the practice squad. They have also added guard and tackle hybrid Matt Pryor to the Reserve/COVID-19 list, and they’ve protected two practice squad players, tight end Jason Croom and defensive end, Elijah Riley.
Parks and Curry aren’t consistent game-changers by any means. They also don’t guarantee victory, but the ‘Birds’ will need all available hands on deck for this one to walk out of Lincoln Finacial Field with a win. We’ll see if Parks and Curry can make any key plays versus a high-powered Ravens offensive attack.
