2. For a struggling Philadelphia Eagles team, this still feels like a trap game.

Eagles star signal-caller Carson Wentz has thrown his share of interceptions this year (and maybe someone else’s share as well), but if he takes care of the football and doesn’t give the Giants’ offense extra opportunities, everything should work out fine here.

Philly can’t afford to make the mistake of looking ahead to the division-leading Cowboys because as strange as it is to say this about a 1-4-1 team, for a squad looking to take over the lead in their division, this is a trap game of sorts.

Here’s the thing. The Cowboys defense is historically awful as they’ve allowed the most points of any NFL defense through six weeks in NFL history. Oh, there’s evidence. Take a look.

The Eagles can score. We know that. They’ve put up over 20+ points in the last four games. This coupled with the idea that Andy Dalton will be starting at quarterback are both comforting ideas, but there’s still business to take care of before anyone starts talking about the Cowboys.

light. Trending. 5 questions ahead of Week 7's game

If the Eagles can carve out a three-game winning streak here in the next three games, they’ll boast a 4-4-1 record with a 3-1 tally versus ‘NFC Least’ competition. These are all winnable games. It actually doesn’t get any easier after this stretch. Philadelphia will see the Cleveland Browns, Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers, and Arizona Cardinals., but first thing’s first. They have to beat ‘Big Blue’ on Thursday Night Football.
