54. . . . Carson Wentz, Quarterback . 4. player

This Philadelphia Eagles duo was able to right the ship.

Philly’s franchise quarterback, Carson Wentz, threw another pick, but no one will talk about that as much as they’ll talk about the way he finished this one. After leading his team to 20- point outbursts on two of the league’s best defenses, there were theories that Wentz could dominate in this one for all four quarters. As most ‘Iggles’ fans saw, that didn’t happen. After a solid first series, Wentz struggled to get anything going offensively for almost three quarters.

The ‘comeback kid’ took unnecessary risks, threw terrible passes, and added another interception to his resume, but when all hope seemed lost, Wentz led two incredible back-to-back touchdown drives to give the Eagles the lead for good. ’11’ also eclipsed 300 yards passing. Add that to a stat line that includes two passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown that helped secure this much-needed win.

. Boston Scott, Running back. 5. player. 54. .

It is official, Philadelphia Eagles’ running back Boston Scott is the Giants’ kryptonite. The five-foot-six running back had almost 100 yards of total offense, including the game-winning touchdown catch. Scott has had the Giants’ number during the last few match-ups, and he once again showed that this team could rely on him to get the job done in the absences of Miles Sanders.

Honorable mention:

  1. Wide receiver Travis Fulgham, five catches for 73 yards.
  2. Wide receiver Greg Ward, five catches for 42 yards and a touchdown.
  3. Linebacker Nate Gerry (crazy, right?), eight total tackles, one tackle for a loss, and one sack.
  4. Defensive end Derek Barnett, one tackle for a loss, one sack, and two quarterback hits.
