Philadelphia Eagles debate table: Was ignoring Justin Jefferson a mistake?
Nothing can be done now, but the Philadelphia Eagles may have made a mistake.
Oh, don’t act like you’re one of those Philadelphia Eagles fans that don’t occasionally cut your eyes over to a few Minnesota Vikings games (or at least the highlights). Of course, you want to see what Justin Jefferson is doing.
Part of being a ‘Birds’ fan is obsessing over every potential trade or offseason move that this team makes. This fan base watches the waiver wire and the scouting reports just about as often as the vice president and general manager Howie Roseman, so even though the rest of the NFL world probably won’t view the following statement the same way, it’s just how things work in Philly.
It’s hard to think about draft choices that teams have made without looking at who was still available and what those guys became. For the rest of their careers (and, right now, one seems as though it will be longer than the other), everything JJ Arcega-Whiteside does will be compared to what D.K. Metcalf does. Everything Jalen Reagor does will be compared to what Justin Jefferson does.
Was taking Reagor a mistake? Let’s take a look at both sides of the argument.
