The Philadelphia Eagles are once again at the top of the NFC East.

The Philadelphia Eagles‘ tilt with the New York Giants during Week 7’s version of Thursday Night Football mirrored every other game that they’ve played during the 2020 NFL season. This one touched all of the emotions. Some of them felt good and others not so much.

On one hand, it’s comforting to know that the ‘Birds’ sit at the top of the NFC East once again. Sure, the division is the worst in the NFL, but first place is still first place. All of their flaws were on display versus the Giants, but so were some of the positives that we’ve seen.

The Eagles may also be the only team in the NFC East that is void of a quarterback issue. As careless as Carson Wentz has been this season, he’s shown that he can carry this team on his shoulders, That can’t be said about Daniel Jones or whoever lines up behind center for the Dallas Cowboys or the Washington Football Team.

Washington, despite their quarterback conundrum, still beat the Cowboys in Week 7 but despite Kyle Allen, not because of him. Meanwhile, ‘Big D’ hasn’t gotten anything going offensively after losing quarterback Dak Prescott for the season. A dropoff in production with Andy Dalton at the helm had to be expected, but no one could have expected it to be so severe.

Week 8 means that a half-season of NFL football is over for most teams. Here’s how the four teams in the NFC East stack up.
