2. The Philadelphia Eagles offense needs to live to fight another down.

There are never any shortages of arguments that explain Russell Wilson’s greatness or why he should be seen as being in the category of elite, but as great as he is, he isn’t immune to mistakes. During Seattle’s Week 9 game versus the Buffalo Bills, Wilson turned the ball over four times. The Bills capitalized with points, and the Seahawks dropped this one by a score of 44-34.

Wilson, like Wentz, was trying to do too much when the Seahawks fell behind. The nine-year veteran continuously scrambled out of the pocket while trying to force plays when they were clearly over, and he put the ball in harm’s way over and over again.

This came just two weeks after Wilson threw three interceptions in a loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Seattle’s most recent snafu could potentially hamper his chances in the MVP race.

Like what we’ve seen from Russell Wilson in two of the past three weeks, Carson Wentz panics much too often and that contributes to those questionable plays. The Eagles still have eight games ahead of them. None of them are freebies, and that includes the three remaining games in the NFC East. Wentz has the tools to turn things around, but protecting the ball is a must if the Eagles have a shot at securing their division.
