Alshon Jeffery a full participant at Philadelphia Eagles practice
The Philadelphia Eagles returned to work on Veteran’s Day.
Here’s something that should put a smile on your face if you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan. The band seems to be getting back together, or something like that. The second WentzDay of November meant two things were going on at the NovaCare Complex simultaneously.
It was Veterans Day (thanks to you all that put or have put your lives on the line for our country in the name of freedom), but then, there’s also this. With less than four days before the Birds take the field for a Week 10 rematch with the hated New York Giants, Philly’s veterans and some of their younger talent all met for a practice session and looky here. They brought a familiar face with them.
Alshon Jeffery was a full participant at Philadelphia Eagles practice.
By now, if you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan, you have to believe that Doug Pederson has to be getting paid back for something by the football gods. All this man wanted was a new norm. Instead, he’s been given guys with less talent than they were advertised to have, a ton of criticism by the media, and of course, all of those injuries. Things might be turning around as Alshon Jeffery was a full participant in the practice session. Take a look.
Yes, we all understand. Some of you want a youth movement. Some of you want Travis Fulgham out there to play the X or primary receiver role instead of 17. Some of you are sick of hearing about Jeffery and can’t forgive him for that anonymous quote debacle. This is about winning though. The Philadelphia Eagles are in first place in the NFC East which means they could earn a playoff spot. If Jeffery can help them get there, he needs to be out there.
Hey, look at it this way. Things can still turn. We’re all used to the Eagles getting banged up early in the season. Maybe this is the year when they get healthy late and get hot heading into the postseason. We’ll have to wait and see what happens.
