What if the Philadelphia Eagles actually did replace their head coach?

Welcome to the ‘City of Brotherly Love’. After ten weeks of NFL action, the Philadelphia Eagles are still in first place in the lowly NFC East, and fans still aren’t satisfied with their favorite football team.

Now, in most other cities where a professional football team exists, leading that team’s division is a reason to celebrate, but in Philly, one of the more passionate but objective cities on Planet Earth, fans tend to focus on the bigger picture, even if they can’t agree with each other about anything that the picture reveals.

That’s why Eagles fans will never resemble the Dallas Cowboys fan base. Birds fans love their team but remain objective and at times, get extremely agitated with them. Eagles fans will boo their team at home games if they aren’t playing up to standard. Cowboys fans will, well, who doesn’t know how delusional they are?

After three straight winning seasons, three playoff appearances in his four years as Philly’s head man, two division titles, and a Super Bowl victory, some fans still want to put Doug Pederson on the hot seat. Looking at how his team has performed, how unprepared they are regardless of who the opponent is, and how bad he’s managed games, it’s hard to blame him.

So, what if the Philadelphia Eagles did give some consideration to replacing Doug Pederson? Here are five candidates that make sense if they decided to pull the trigger and make a head-coaching change.
