Trust and believe the Philadelphia Eagles are watching Penn State football.

The Birds have been known to dip into the Penn State Nittany Lions’ program before. Sometimes, it works (Miles Sanders). At other times, there are issues (Shareef Miller).

Whether we’re basing this on the fact that there are fans that pledge their allegiances to both the Eagles and Nittany Lions, the fact that every year this team is rumored to have some interest in someone who’s enjoying success while playing for this great program, or the fact that they’re home to one of the best tight ends in the nation, Pat Freiermuth is a name that Birds fans will want to familiarize themselves with.

This six-foot-five, 258-pound junior figures to declare for the NFL Draft following the Big Ten’s college football season. He also figures to be one of the first four or five prospects taken at the position.

Heading into 2020’s season, he already had 69 snags, 875 receiving yards, and 15 trips to the end zone on his resume. This season, he’s been his usual productive self. Don’t be surprised if you hear his name a lot between now and next April.
