DeVonta Smith. 2. player. 829. . .

Might the Philadelphia Eagles finally snag one of those Alabama receivers?

It’s uncanny how the Alabama Crimson Tide keeps finding all of those NFL-caliber receivers. Here are a few examples: Henry Ruggs III, Calvin Ridley, Julio Jones, Amari Cooper, and Jerry Jeudy to name a few. Expect Devonta Smith to hear his name called on draft day.

On any other roster at the NCAA level, Smith is the guy. On the Tide’s usually-loaded offensive attack, believe it or not, he’s the ‘other guy’. A long and financially beneficial career in the NFL awaits once this six-foot-one and 175-pound senior’s final ride at the collegiate level is over. He could also stand to add a few pounds to his frame.

Like Terrace Marshall, Smith will be one of the top five players at his position once the next draft arrives. The final name on this list belongs to the guy that would probably be at the top of everyone’s draft board had it not been for some guy named Ja’Marr Chase. He’s also Devonta Smith’s teammate.
