Can the Philadelphia Eagles pull off an early Christmas miracle in Week 12?

It’s only a few days after Thanksgiving and the Philadelphia Eagles already need a Christmas miracle. Coming off of back-to-back losses, they now face the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football. Seattle moved to 7-3 after a win over the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday Night Football in Week 11.

Seattle head coach Pete Carroll just has the Eagles number. The Eagles haven’t won versus Seattle since 2008 and they’re 1-8 in the past nine matchups. Fans will remember that Seattle collected two of those wins in Philadelphia in 2019. They won the regular-season matchup and playoff matchup both by a score of 17-9. To top it all off, the next four games are against teams that are currently holding onto playoff spots. This could be ugly to watch but it might be for the best just to get a better draft pick.

Let’s be honest though, as fans, we love seeing our Birds make the playoffs. We still keep coming back to them every Sunday for more even when it gets worse. After watching the magical runs the ‘Birds’ have had the past few years, there’s always a little bit of hope left. In 2018, they pulled off wild wins against the Los Angeles Rams and Houston Texans towards the end of the season. Last year, they started slow but unexpectedly beat the Green Bay Packers in Week 4 and beat the Dallas Cowboys with the practice squad.

It’s very unlikely that they have any magic for this year but anything can happen on any given week. With that said, let’s dive into this matchup and how the Eagles could pull off the seemingly impossible.
