The secret’s out in the Philadelphia Eagles fan base.

After about a day and a half of debate, angry tweets, and media hullabaloo, Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson has made his decision about who his starting quarterback will be. According to a team report penned by team insider Dave Spadaro, who knows just about everything about this team, Coach is going with the rookie, Jalen Hurts.

Week 14’s game is scheduled for a 4:25 p.m. EST start versus the New Orleans Saints at Lincoln Financial Field. Good luck rook! This one won’t be easy. We’ll discuss that more in detail in a sec.

Adam Schefter shared the news with the Twitterverse shortly after lunchtime on the East Coast on Tuesday. Take a look.

Dave Spadaro spoke with Coach Pederson exclusively about the move. Here’s a quote.

"I have come to a decision and I am going to go with Jalen Hurts this week against New Orleans. We’re not where we want to be as an offense. I looked at the whole thing and decided that for this week to look for that spark again to try to get the team over the hump, to try to get everybody playing better."

We have a lot to unpack here. Hey, there’s no time like the present, right? Here are three reactions to this move by the Philadelphia Eagles head coach.
