The Philadelphia Eagles’ defense was awful in Week 13.

Dud: The entire secondary.

From Darius Slay to Jalen Mills to Avonte Maddox, the entire Eagles secondary played well below expectations. There were some big splash plays, but most were quickly overshadowed by bad reads, bad tackling, guys being off assignments, and bad coverage.

Some fans may feel that holding the Packers’ offense to 30 points is a win, but that offense could have put up more points if it weren’t for a few drops and overthrown passes. From the start of this game, most fans could tell quickly the Birds were in trouble, especially in the scheme that they were playing, and speaking of the scheme, let’s check in on the Eagles defensive coordinator.

Dud: Jim Schwartz, Defensive Coordinator.

If you are mind blown by how polar opposite the defensive scheme has been from one week to the next, you are not alone. Jim Schwartz’s inability to adjust on the fly (or even after half time) has become one of the main reasons why the defense’s overall ranking gets ignored.

Dud: Howie Roseman, general manager.

The Philadelphia Eagles’ general manager, Howie Roseman, will continue to be on this dud list week after week as Philly fans are forced to continue to watch the broken team that seems to take the field continuously. Alright, let’s wrap this list up.
