Here are three guys that will get the ball a lot versus the Philadelphia Eagles.

3. Michael Thomas, wide receiver

In 2016’s NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints drafted Michael Thomas in the second round, 47th-overall. Let’s just say that they haven’t regretted that decision like the Birds have regretted the selection of just about every wide receiver that they’ve taken since Doug Pederson began his era as Eagles head coach that same season.

Prepare for a little wide receiver envy if you’re a fan of the guys in green (or all black in Week 14’s case) because Thomas is coming to play. In two career games versus the Birds, he caught all four of his targets in 2018’s regular-season game. That was good enough for 92 yards and score. when these two proud franchises met in the playoffs almost two months later, he snagged 12 receptions for 171 yards, and he found his way into the end zone again. Let’s hope Darius Slay doesn’t look like the guy we’ve seen the past two weeks.

4. Jared Cook, tight end

Jared Cook has 25 receptions, 313 receiving yards, and five receiving touchdowns on his 2020 resume. This is bad news for an Eagles defense whose linebackers can’t cover anyone.

5. Alvin Kamara, running back

There isn’t an Eagles fan on Planet Earth that doesn’t know who Alvin Kamara is or what he brings to the table. In two games versus the Birds (those same two games that we just referenced when talking about Michael Thomas), this three-time Pro Bowler (2017–2019) and Second-team All-Pro (2017) racked up 142 yards rushing on 29 carries, 72 receiving yards on five receptions, and one receiving touchdown. He’s a threat whenever he gets the ball in his hands.
