5. Michael Jacquet will start as CB2 in 2021 for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Undrafted rookie Michael Jacquet was very impressive in his debut as a starting cornerback and it should not be an overreaction to think he can start opposite Darius Slay in 2021.

Jacquet possesses all the intangibles that coaches look for in cornerbacks. He stands six-foot-two, has an extremely long wingspan, four inches longer than any other DB at the 2020 NFL Combine to be exact, and as those of you who watched him against Arizona, he can run with the best receivers in the league like DeAndre Hopkins.

His line in Week 15 was impressive as he notched seven tackles, two pass breakups, a forced fumble, a quarterback hit, and half a sack. He has all the potential to turn into a solid professional cornerback and there is plenty of room for development as he spent two of his four years in college at the receiver position. He’s still new to his position and the Eagles might have found themselves a keeper.

6. Alex Singleton deserves a multi-year extension with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Since Singleton became an every-down linebacker, the CFL product has recorded at least ten tackles in five of six games. Needless to say, this is not an overreaction and Singleton must be retained by Philadelphia.

He simply plays with an edge the other linebackers in Philly do not possess. Right now he is the top linebacker in a weak LB group and if the Eagles can find someone else to pair alongside him in 2021 the Eagles will possess a stout duo.

Singleton’s contract expires at the end of 2020 and he will qualify as an exclusive rights free agent. If Philadelphia offers him the league minimum for 2021, he cannot negotiate with another team. Needless to say, he will be back in Philly, but Singleton deserves much more than league minimum with multiple years. Let’s discuss QB1.
