Philadelphia Eagles fans don’t need to be reminded of B.G.’s greatness.

There isn’t a Philadelphia Eagles fan that doesn’t know who Brandon Graham is, how long he’s been here, or what he’s meant to this organization. When the curtain closes on the 2020 regular season, he would have appeared in 159 games with 102 starts. We’re talking 166 games with 108 starts if you include his seven appearances in an Eagles playoff game.

159 regular-season games in an Eagles jersey means that he’s also in sole possession of the franchise record for the most games ever played by a Bird at the defensive end position. 422 total tackles, 61.5 sacks, seven pass breakups, 21 forced fumbles, seven fumble recoveries have been the result. Those numbers also include the playoffs and the most famous strip-sack in the history of the Super Bowl.

If you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan, this has to make you smile.

There isn’t an Eagles fan on Planet Earth that needs to be reminded of how good B.G. is, but for whatever reason, he hasn’t earned the respect that he deserves on a national level. That would explain the constant Pro Bowl snubs. That’s why his addition to the Pro Bowl roster in 2020 is all the more special. Let this one sink in for a second.

Not only is he one of the greatest Eagles ever, but he also has one of the most infectious smiles of all time. It kind of makes you want to smile doesn’t it?

B.G. is joined on the Pro Bowl roster by fellow Eagles Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox, two other worthy additions. For Kelce, it’s his fourth Pro Bowl nod overall and his second in a row. Cox adds his sixth Pro Bowl honor to a resume that will land him in Canton, Ohio when his playing days are over.

Sure, you can argue that Graham should have at least two more Pro Bowl nods on his resume. One only needs to reference 2015, 2017, and 2019 if they need any evidence. Then again, maybe that isn’t important right now. Maybe we should celebrate this for what it is, an enormous achievement and the culmination of hard work. Congrats B.G.! Kudos are definitely in order. Have a day young man!
