The Philadelphia Eagles drop to 4-9-1 on the season after a Week 15 loss.

This Week 15 matchup that the Philadelphia Eagles just played had to have Philly fans on the edge of their seat. With over 900 yards of total offense between the two teams, this game was just a back and forth display of will. After overcoming a big first-quarter deficit, the Eagles trimmed the margin and even tied the game but still lost to the Arizona Cardinals by a final score of 33 to 26.

For those Eagles fans that missed the game, let’s dive into a little recap. Philadelphia won the coin toss, but the first quarter was full of costly penalties, bad plays (including a safety), and blown assignments. The Cardinals were up by 16 points heading into the second quarter.

Then, it happened. A switch flipped, and the Eagles put up 20 points in the second quarter, bringing the deficit to only six points. The Eagles put another six points on the scoreboard in the second half to tie the game.

Arizona was able to score late in the fourth quarter and after a couple of exchanges of possession, the Eagles got the ball back with only minutes remaining in the game. As typical Iggles games go, the last few minutes featured a lot of nail-biting as the offense drove down to the 30-yard line, and that’s where things ultimately stalled.

Okay, Philly fans, now that we are all caught up and the heartache of this loss has worn off, let’s get into the heroes and zeros of this Week 15 loss.
