No one wants to darken a Philadelphia Eagles fan’s day, but have you seen this?

The bad: Special Teams

How bad can an entire unit of a football team be? Well, if you’re discussing the Eagles’ special teams’ unit, it’s pretty bad. They’ve had some bad games this season, but this was probably, by far, their worst. Missed tackles, wrong personal fielding the punt, and of course the entire formation allowing punter Cameron Johnston to get leveled are just a few of the lowlights.

The Eagles’ special teams’ unit, over the course of the past few years, hasn’t done much to brag about, but this year has been one of the all-time lows for this squad. Some other things could be pointed out when discussing this loss, but this unit had a lot to do with Arizona winning in Week 15.

The bad: Derek Barnett, Defensive End

It really looks like the late hit penalties for Derek Barnett are starting to creep back into his game. Out of all the penalties that the Eagles had in the game against the Cardinals, the late hit to DeAndre Hopkins was probably the most unnecessary and the most costly.

The bad: Matt Pryor, Right Tackle?

Did you notice the question mark by the position Matt Pryor was supposed to be playing in Week 15? You may ask yourself why it’s there. It’s because Matt Pryor was literally just a body at the position. He got turned around multiple times. He was beaten, bullied, and just flat out bad.

Remember the two-point conversion attempt with Miles Sanders? When you have a moment to look at that one, take a moment to look at what Matt Pryor was doing on the other side of the formation. He didn’t block anyone.
