You didn’t think we, as Philadelphia Eagles fans would ignore The Tide, did you?

Okay, it’s the best team in the country, and they’ve held that distinction for a while. If you’re going to shop for talent, why not do so where there’s more of it?

7. Patrick Surtain II, Cornerback

If the Philadelphia Eagles go with a cover guy early in Round 1 (no one would object if they did so), there are three names that you need to remember. Ohio State’s Shaun Wade has been mentioned already. South Carolina’s Jaycee Horn has to be in the conversation (his teammate, Israel Mukuamu, is no slouch either), but Patrick Surtain II might be the cream of a very impressive crop.

His father played in the NFL as well and was a three-time Pro Bowler. The apple didn’t fall too far from the tree here.

8. DeVonta Smith, Wide Receiver

Alabama’s Jaylen Waddle is a nice watch too, but you know offensive coordinators, coaches, and fans love explosion, and The Tide’s DeVonta Smith brings all of that to the table. These days, we throw phrases around with so much regularity that they’ve lost their sting, but here’s one that truly fits. This young man is a threat to score from anywhere on the field.
