Here’s the formula for a Philadelphia Eagles win on Dallas week.

There’s nothing better than beating the Dallas Cowboys. Sure, this matchup isn’t what fans anticipated at the start of the year. The Philadelphia Eagles were supposed to be in a position to make a serious playoff run. Instead, they are in a position to get a top ten pick as their chances to make the playoff are slim.

It’s not over until it’s over though. If all goes right, the Philadelphia Eagles could play in a winner-take-all game versus the Washington Football Team next week for the NFC East title. The Birds will need the 4-10 Carolina Panthers to upset the 6-8 Washington Football Team. They also need the New York Giants to lose one of their next two games. This week is the most likely for the Giants to lose. They play the 9-5 Baltimore Ravens but don’t be surprised if New York finds a way to win or at least plays them close.

Anything is possible. In Week 17 of the 2008 season, the Eagles needed help from the Houston Texans and Oakland Raiders. The 7-8 Texans hosted the 9-6 Chicago Bears. The 5-11 Raiders headed to Tampa Bay to play the 9-6 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Magic happened. Houston and Oakland gave the Eagles the help that they needed. Then, the  Eagles took care of business at home and throttled the Cowboys by a score of 44-6.

More recently, in 2018, the Eagles had a small chance of making the playoffs. They won two in a row heading into Week 17. They needed to beat Washington and the Chicago Bears needed to beat the Minnesota Vikings. The Eagles shutout Washington 24-0 and the Bears did their job. One week later, the Eagles eliminated the Bears on the ‘double doink’.

Maybe the Eagles have some magic left in the tank. Here’s how they can do their part.
