Darius Slay isn’t one of the younger Philadelphia Eagles, but he’s worth a mention.

Okay, we’re supposed to be talking about young Philadelphia Eagles, so here’s an honorable mention. Jack Driscoll is a stud, and the way Philly gets injured along the offensive line, you never know how things will play out.

Philly expects to get Andre Dillard, Brandon Brooks, and Lane Johnson back in 2021, so if they can stay on the field, we may not see much of Mr. Driscoll. His versatility also means that, if anything happens to Philly on the outside or at guard, you never know. He’s fully capable of playing at a Pro Bowl level even as a reserve.

Darius Slay, a man that Philly gave quite a bit of coin to this past offseason, is also cut from the same mold. He’ll be 30 years young when the 2021 season kicks off, which is almost ancient for an NFL cornerback. Still, after failing to erase a few number-one receivers in 2020, next season might be a bounceback year. Can he deliver the Pro Bowl season in 2021 that many Birds fans were hoping for in his first run with the Birds? It’s very possible.

He plays a glory position on defense (following the other team’s best wide receiver around). Couple that with Philly’s popularity and the fact that they’ll play in a few primetime games, and Big Play’s name will be one that you’ll hear often. That’s all it takes sometimes for Pro Bowl voters to start looking for someone’s name on the ballot.
