Philadelphia Eagles 2021, seven-round mock: Birds add to their secondary
By Hunter Doyle
The Philadelphia Eagles bring Kenny Yeboah back to Philly.
The former Temple tight end finds his way back to Philly in this mock draft. Kenny Yeboah from Ole Miss makes a lot of sense for the Eagles in Round 6. They might take a chance on a tight end earlier if Zach Ertz is gone by the time the draft rolls around which is very possible. If they wait to take Yeboah, they could be pleasantly surprised. He could compliment Dallas Goedert nicely moving forward.
Despite playing in just seven games this year, Yeboah showed plenty of improvement with 524 yards and six touchdowns on 27 total catches. With how often the Eagles like to split their tight ends out wide, Yeboah will fit in perfectly. Similar to Goedert, he gets down the seam with ease and is difficult to defend in the red zone at six-foot-four, 240 pounds.
Yeboah will have to work on his blocking ability. In ITI’s most recent mock, one that was released last week, we mentioned undrafted free Noah Togiai. There were massive concerns about his blocking ability when he entered camp but tight ends coach Justin Peelle helped him improve. As the summer went on, Togiai looked better as a blocker and even showcased some of those improvements with the Indianapolis Colts this year. Peelle can certainly help Yeboah in that regard as well.
