Quinn is another former head coach the Philadelphia Eagles should consider.

Like Wade Phillips, Dan Quinn is one of those guys that didn’t see his head coaching stint work out, but we know that he knows a thing about the NFL game, especially when it comes to things that relate to defense.

Two stints with the Seattle Seahawks, 2009 to 2010 and 2013 to 2014 really put him on the map which is how he wound up on so many team’s radars as a potential head coach in the first place. To make things plain, here’s the skinny. Quinn really needed an offensive coordinator.

When he had one (Kyle Shanahan), his quarterback Matt Ryan was the MVP of the NFL, and that same season, Quinn led the mighty Atlanta Falcons to the Super Bowl and a large lead at halftime. well, you all know how that turned out.

How good might Quinn have been if he found another quarterback whisperer? We may never know, but what we can agree upon is this. His hire could be the cure for all that ails Philly on the defensive side of the ball. In some ways, it’s almost like having a younger Jim Johnson, and you all remember how fun that was.
