Mike Kafka, QB coach, Chiefs. . player. 124. . .

Mike Kafka fits the mold of a Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator.

Mike Kafka is a former Philadelphia Eagles backup quarterback and he is part of the Andy Reid coaching tree. What more could this city ask for?

Kafka has been on staff in Kansas City every year Patrick Mahomes has been on board that ship. It’s no coincidence Mahomes has blossomed into a star. Kafka is one of the main voices in Mahomes’ ear on a daily basis. Everybody knows the rise of Mahomes. He’s an MVP, a Super Bowl champion, and is already garnering future GOAT status.

Kafka would step right into Philadelphia and understand the city, the team, its scheme, and, of course, its fans while bringing a fresh perspective on offense. He would work wonders with Wentz or Hurts. He would certainly work well with Doug Pederson, and the city would grow to love his abilities.

Andy Reid and the Philadelphia Eagles drafted Mike Kafka in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He, unfortunately, did not pan out as a player, but he definitely has thrived as a coach under the same guy that drafted him. There is no doubt the Chiefs would miss his voice.

Kafka brings Super Bowl experience, playing experience, and experience in Philadelphia to the table. Possibly the three top boxes the Eagles are trying to check off when searching for a new OC are checked off with Kafka.

This decision cannot be one the Philadelphia Eagles miss on. Hitting on a star OC might be the most important task this franchise has this offseason, and if any one of the five aforementioned coaches ends up in Philly, fans should rejoice.
