The Philadelphia Eagles’ rebuild has commenced and a roster reset is on the horizon.

The Philadelphia Eagles have officially parted ways with their former head coach, Doug Pederson, in what is shaping up to be a chaotic offseason in the City of Brotherly Love. The Eagles depth chart is diluted with grizzled veterans, and a roster overhaul could begin with the exodus of those aging old-timers.

G.M. and executive vice president Howie Roseman will soon be hiring his third head coach in a single decade for the Philadelphia Eagles and, once again, is tasked with rebuilding a roster. Roseman, of course, has a Super Bowl on his resume, however, his bad performances in the NFL Draft are well documented to the tune of uninspiring and, at times, laughable outcomes.

Nonetheless, Roseman, for now, seems to be the man who must find a plan for this Philadelphia Eagles roster and it could start with an overhaul of familiar names.

Whether it is age, performance, expiring or overpriced contracts, or a combination of all those factors, there are plenty of familiar faces fans have grown familiar with that will no longer reside on the Birds roster in 2021.

Roseman and company did all that they could to ensure a youthful roster would take the field in 2020, but that plan never seemed to come to fruition. In 2021, it is imperative that the Eagles follow through with their commitment to youth. Eight Eagle veterans are obvious candidates to hit the road alongside Pederson on their way out of Philadelphia. Let’s begin with a pair of receivers.
