Believe it or not, Philadelphia Eagles fans will miss Doug Pederson.

Have you ever had a really bad breakup and then, years later, you looked back and it was hard not to remember the good times? That’s, pretty much, what it’s like to be a Philadelphia Eagles fan. Hey, what can we say? It’s the City of Brotherly Love, and things will remain that way for as long as Philadelphia is a city.

Only in Philly can a coach win a Super Bowl, lead his team to three playoff appearances in his first four seasons, and then, find himself on the hot seat for much of his fifth season. Doug Pederson made it through ‘Black Monday’, but he was fired a week later. That made much of the Eagles fan base happy, but questions will live on about whether or not it was the right move.

If you’re like our staff, you’ve heard rumors about Jeffrey Lurie making some of the selections (like JJ Arcega-Whiteside). You’ve heard about some of the assistant coaches undermining Doug. You’ve heard about how good of a soldier he was and how he couldn’t take it anymore.

Here are the facts. Doug Pederson is a good man, and he was a good soldier for this Eagles franchise. He’ll be unemployed for about five minutes (like Andy Reid was), and one day, when these tough Eagles fans have calmed down, Doug will return home to a standing ovation. He’ll be missed. In the meantime, here are his ten best games as Eagles head coach.
