4 Philadelphia Eagles HC options that are better than Josh McDaniels

This has to be obvious if you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan, right?

No one cares about whether he calls the plays or not. If you’re still questioning whether Eric Bieniemy deserves to be a head coach in the NFL, you simply don’t know the game of football. According to a report by Around The NFL writer Kevin Patra, the NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo has gone on record stating that Philly is indeed interested in another Andy Reid disciple and that they’ve put in a request to interview him.

Say what you will. Those guys from Big Red’s coaching tree tend to know what they’re doing. Think Ron Rivera, John Harbaugh, and Sean McDermott, all of which led their teams to the playoffs this season.

Once someone exercises some common sense and gives the keys to their franchise to Bieniemy, it won’t be long before they have a legitimate squad that’s in a position to fight their way into the postseason year after year. There’s just one thing to consider.

Eagles chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie said his team was in no hurry and that they’d take the appropriate amount of time to find the right candidate. If that’s true, they’ll need to be patient.

If those rumors are true, we would have learned that something else Jeffrey Lurie said wasn’t totally accurate. Now, how irritated would you be as an Eagles fan if that wound up being the case? Still, either way, this is further proof that there are better options than Josh McDaniels if this team is thinking about the ‘best candidate’.
