Cornell Powell, Clemson. . player. 879. . .

Powell’s the type of guy the Philadelphia Eagles’ offense needs.

Clemson Tigers wideout Cornell Powell has had a rollercoaster ride of a career. Over the last two months, few players have seen their draft stock rise and do so as steadily as Powell’s has. Blessed with soft hands and a willingness to play in the thick of a defense, Powell has the tools and skillset to give the Philadelphia Eagles passing game a complete boost.

He has great run after the catch ability and always seems to fall forward while finishing his runs. Put it this way. Powell is a big play waiting to happen, and this year, the big plays came fast and they came frequently. With his thick base, he has the ability to help in the running game both with the ball in his hands and as a blocker. You already know what he does in the passing game.

The Philadelphia Eagles need to add offensive firepower at every level, especially in the passing game, and Powell would help them do just that. He’s capable of playing both on the inside, in the slot, or on the outside. He’s a big threat either way. An addition like Powell would be a great start for the Eagles this draft season, one that could go a long way in helping this team to become an explosive offense.
