Size, size, size. Here’s a big D.B. that could interest the Philadelphia Eagles.

The 2021 NFL Draft is filled with intriguing defensive backs this year, and Syracuse cornerback Ifeatu Melifonwu is one of the under-the-radar guys that could set the tone. Blessed with great size (he’s six-foot-three and weighs 215 pounds) and with sneaky athleticism, he’s sure to be a legitimate shutdown corner at the highest level.

The Philadelphia Eagles have lacked talent on the backend of their defense for quite some time now, so finding reinforcements is a must. While the front office did a great job trading for Darius Slay, the question marks after him can not continue to go on unanswered.

Melifonwu has the tools and skillset to be a playmaker for the Philadelphia Eagles and a guy that would add a nasty style of play. He’s capable of being utilized in a bevy of ways. Melifonwu can line up just about anywhere on the backend and be a giant help.

While the Eagles continue to build towards another Super Bowl run, adding a player with Melifonwu’s ability would be a great first step in doing so. Lining him up opposite of Darius Slay would give the Philadelphia Eagles a true one-two combination on the backend, one that they have not seen in a long time.
