806. . . . Round 5, Shaka Toney. . player

The Philadelphia Eagles can never have too many pass rushers.

Penn State edge defender Shaka Toney is a clone of former defensive end Trent Cole. A monster coming off of the edge, Toney has the ability to bend and disrupt an offensive flow, whether that be in the running game or versus the pass.

The six-three, 245-pound Philadelphia native needs to gain weight if he’s going to be a consistent threat in all facets of the game, but if Philly begins by utilizing him strictly in passing situations, he’ll be fine.

The Philadelphia Eagles need to find help along the defensive line for Fletcher Cox, Brandon Graham, and Josh Sweat. Both Cox and Graham are getting up there in age, so adding a youthful Toney would be a breath of fresh air.

While he isn’t what you would call polished, Philadelphia would be wise to find packages to showcase him. He’s a speed demon that can play in space and chase down ball carriers, and he adds a ton of value for someone projected to go in the fifth round of the draft.

Much like Trey Sermon, Shaka Toney could go as high as the third round, but if he is available in the fifth, Philly’s front office might be looking at a steal they’ll need to pounce on.
