5 Sub-radar defensive draft prospects Philadelphia Eagles should consider
The Philadelphia Eagles need help covering all of those great NFC wideouts.
The University of Central Florida’s Tay Gowan is the perfect match for the Philadelphia Eagles. Cornerback is arguably their biggest need, and Gowan could come in and boost the cornerback room immediately.
The city was buzzing after the front office traded for Darius Slay, and while he was indeed an upgrade, the Birds continue to have question marks with the rest of the room. Tay Gowan would come in and be able to fight for a starting spot opposite Slay immediately.
Blessed with some of the most natural ball skills in the 2021 NFL Draft, Gowan is a ballhawk in coverage with a long frame and football intelligence. A pure cover corner, he possesses the tools and skillset to take away an offense’s top wideout option.
The Philadelphia Eagles need to find the answer to their cornerback conundrum ASAP and Gowan could be that prospect. Having a player that can do what Gowan does would go a long way in the Eagles housing one of the best defenses in the National Football League.
