This guy isn’t getting mentioned by Philadelphia Eagles fans, but he should be.

Former Iowa Hawkeyes standout Ihmir Smith-Marsette is a prospect who’s as difficult to quantify as his name might be to pronounce. That’s for anyone who hasn’t said it or heard it verbalized before of course.

Here’s why. Unless you’re an Iowa Hawkeyes fan or a graduate of their great school, you may not have heard much about him.

That’s an easy fix. You shouldn’t have a ton of difficulty in finding a few clips of him as he’s one of those rare good players that have stayed at the collegiate level.

Smith is a six-foot-one, 183-pound prospect who’s quicker than fast and, when given the opportunity, has shown that he can be a playmaker when he has the ball in his hands. In 43 career games at the NCAA level, he snagged 110 receptions for 1,615 yards and 14 trips to paydirt. He also added 274 yards and four more touchdowns to his resume on 34 totes.

There’s no guarantee he’ll be a great pro. He’s probably a day-three guy in the draft. Hey, no one even knows if the Philadelphia Eagles are interested, but here’s what we can all say. He’s definitely better than JJ Arcega-Whiteside.
