By the time this story is published, another Super Bowl Sunday will be approaching the realm of another distant memory. It doesn’t take long, especially with the way the NFL works now. Oh, and then, there’s this. If you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan, and you caught a long nap that lasted through Sunday evening, you probably woke up to the realization that the football world has been turned on its ear.
Patrick Mahomes is human. The Kansas City Chiefs offense can, indeed, be limited, and for any quarterback to surpass Tom Brady in the annals of NFL history, from a championship standpoint at least, they’ll have to win eight Super Bowls.
There’s also the continuing saga disguising itself as the Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback controversy. At the time of this story being published, we’ve been told again that Carson Wentz being traded is more about ‘when’ than ‘if’ it will happen.
Even after the reports that have surfaced, the Eagles fan base is still split on whether or not Carson should leave, what should be viewed as appropriate compensation, and what his legacy will be once he’s gone.
Here’s something we all can agree on though. If the Birds are cleaning the slate, 11 isn’t the only guy they need to bid farewell to. Here are five of about ten more Birds that can’t leave this franchise and the City of Brotherly Love fast enough.
