Cisco could be the field general for the Philadelphia Eagles.

It seems like every year the Philadelphia Eagles fans are hoping for the next Brian Dawkins to come through the door. Well, as much as we would all love to see it, that isn’t happening. Don’t read what we’re not writing. Andre Cisco isn’t Brian Dawkins, but he sets a defensive tone in a manner that might remind some Birds fans of the days when 20 was walking around.

At six-foot and 215-pounds, the Syracuse product has the size, raw speed, and hard-hitting mentality that defensive coaches pray for. He’s also a thumper, but he also possesses the soft hands and ball skills to help in coverage as well as the sneaky speed to keep up with even the fastest of wideouts.

He’s a truly versatile weapon and a prospect that can be used in multiple ways across the defense. He can play deep third, play in the box, and stuff tailbacks in the running game. He can also play in space and take away the slot guy. What’s most impressive is his ability to play sideline to sideline and, of course, his high football intelligence.

The Philadelphia Eagles’ defense could use a player like Andre Cisco, as he would set the tempo on defense and be a true leader.
