The Philadelphia Eagles aren’t getting what the Lions got.

Sure, the endgame is to try to get maximum value in a trade. Ladies and gentlemen, that probably won’t happen here.

The Los Angeles Rams got worked in that Matthew Stafford trade. L.A. mismanages contracts and draft picks all of the time. Have they even had a first-round draft choice since Jared Goff? Please stop using that as your logic for Philly getting two first-rounders.

There’s another issue at play though. Doesn’t it sort of feel like the rest of the league has had its fill of Howie Roseman? Please get the idea that Eagles executive vice president and general manager is going to pull off the deal of the century.

He has no leverage. No one’s in a hurry to take a salary off of his hands when they can’t even verify that the ‘Wentz Wagon’ isn’t just some broken-down bus with AO1 paraphernalia on it.
