The Philadelphia Eagles add depth behind their two starting defensive tackles.

Behind Fletcher Cox and Javon Hargrave, the Birds don’t have too many options at defensive tackle. Malik Jackson is likely on his way out. Hassan Ridgeway has shown flashes of being a solid fourth option but hasn’t been able to stay on the field. T.Y. McGill and Raequan Williams both have potential, but we haven’t seen enough to say they can be higher than fourth or fifth on the depth chart.

Christian Barmore solves that problem in this lineman-only mock. The six-foot-five, 310-pound lineman plays on the interior and wreaks havoc.

He bullies offensive lineman with good placement and raw strength. You’ll even see him flash a nice swim move. In 11 games in the 2020 season, Barmore finished with 37 tackles, 22 solo tackles, eight sacks, 9.5 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, and three passes defended.

The film and production do not lie, and Barmore would be a phenomenal piece behind Cox and Hargrave. Cox is not getting any younger so this would give the Eagles a much-needed piece for the future at the position.
