Believe it or not, the Philadelphia Eagles have some other options at receiver.

So, how do you feel now? The 2020-2021 Philadelphia Eagles season feels like it ended two years ago. The hiring of Nick Sirianni feels like it was six months ago, and even though Birds fans drafted three wide receivers in the 2020 NFL Draft (and traded for another on the draft’s third day), it still feels like this team needs at least two more wide receivers.

Heck, depending on who you talk to, there’s this vibe that suggests the Eagles’ decision to do anything else would be seen as a sign of some sort of football apocalypse.

Here’s the issue though. No one knows how these things work out. Even though no one knows what any NFL team will do, the theory is we’re anywhere from one of the draft’s best receivers falling to the Eagles at six unexpectedly, to Philly trading back, to Ja’Marr Chase, Jaylen Waddle, and DeVonta Smith all being off of the board when the Birds are on the clock.

Then, there’s Patrick Surtain II. Could Philly roll the dice on him? Let’s just say Philly is thinking of taking a wideout early. One of those guys could be the selection. If not, there are other options. Let’s explore. Here are the five best wide receivers in the SEC that are not named Chase, Smith, or Waddle ranked from bottom to top.
