Philadelphia Eagles draft watch: Ranking 5 best QBs not named Lawrence

The Philadelphia Eagles wouldn’t draft a quarterback in Round 1, would they?

Whatever happened to coaching your guys up? Remember when that was a thing? Welcome to life as a Philadelphia Eagles fan. Not only is this team thinking about moving Carson Wentz, the guy that was supposed to be this team’s franchise quarterback for the foreseeable future, but now, rumor has it that they might be tossing around the idea of taking a quarterback in the first round of the next selection meeting.

There’s even a theory that they may trade up to do so, which would almost ensure they’d give up draft capital. Wait! Doesn’t this team realize that they need all of the draft picks they can get their hands on?

It would seem as though, with all of that being said, that giving away draft capital to move up to take any quarterback not named Trevor Lawrence isn’t optimal. Then again, no one trusts this team or its executive vice president and general manager, Howie Roseman.

Then, you have to factor in this. None of us thought this team would draft a quarterback in Round 2 of the 2020 NFL Draft either. Who knows. Maybe they’ve forgotten that Jalen Hurts is on the roster. Yep, no one said being an Eagles fan wouldn’t ensure a little added irritation. With that being said, let’s do some homework.
