The Philadelphia Eagles need to build around Jalen Hurts in the 2021 NFL Draft.
The quarterback conundrum for the Philadelphia Eagles front office has finally seen its end (we hope). Carson Wentz, once thought to be the Birds’ franchise signal-caller, has been traded away to the Colts. This makes the next step obvious for the front office.
Now that the quarterback mess has been cleared up, it’s time to look towards the future. Philly’s front office should use the 2021 NFL Draft to build around second-year QB Jalen Hurts.
Now, that’s assuming Jalen Hurts is the starting quarterback opening day for the 2021 NFL season. The decision-makers need to give him a real chance, but the only way he’ll be successful is by adding real talent around him. With the draft quickly approaching, general manager Howie Roseman has a real opportunity to build the dynasty the Philly faithful deserve.
Luckily for him, the 2021 NFL Draft will be smothered with talented prospects in a very large pool. While the Philadelphia Eagles may not have received the draft compensation fans expected for Carson Wentz, they did land a day-two selection, giving them four picks in the first three rounds of the upcoming selection meeting.
This is what some of our staff believes would be a nice start draft-wise in helping Jalen Hurts succeed. expect a lot of offense in this mini-mock.
