Philadelphia Eagles seven-round mock following Carson Wentz’s trade
The Philadelphia Eagles strengthen the linebacker corps and O-line in Round 3.
Round 3, first selection: Linebacker Chazz Surratt, North Carolina Tar Heels
At six-foot-two and 225-pounds, North Carolina Tar Heel linebacker Chazz Surratt has the prototypical size and amazing skillset to be a playmaker in the Eagles’ defense. Blessed with raw speed and football intelligence, the Philadelphia Eagles coaches will be enamored with him if he’s added to the nest.
The Eagles have needed to add a potential game-changer in the middle of their defense for a while now, and Surratt’s addition here in the third round would be an absolute steal as he’d be a great investment that could change the fortunes of the defense.
Round 3, second selection: Offensive lineman Landon Dickerson, Alabama
Continuing to build around quarterback Jalen Hurts, the Philadelphia Eagles need to prioritize fixing the offensive line. That’s where Alabama’s Landon Dickerson comes in.
At six-foot-six and 325-pounds, Dickerson has the size and raw talent to be a plug-and-play prospect from day one. Adding a player such as this will go a long way in fixing the Eagles’ O-line while also giving Jalen Hurts his future center, one that he can grow with. The Alabama product can be used in a bevy of ways but should eventually be seen as the perfect replacement for Jason Kelce.
