Philadelphia Eagles, NFL Draft watch: Mocking all 32 picks in Round 1
By Smit Bajaj
A former Philadelphia Eagles assistant finally gets his quarterback.
17. Las Vegas Raiders: Edge Kwity Paye, Michigan
The Raiders only recorded 21 sacks in the 2020 season and adding players who can rush the passer will be the primary focus of the offseason. Kwity Paye, an athletic freak with extremely powerful hands, would be the perfect pick at 17 for Las Vegas.
18. Miami Dolphins: RB Travis Etienne, Clemson
After adding Ja’Marr Chase earlier in this NFL mock draft, the Dolphins opt to surround Tua Tagovailoa with even more weapons. Etienne is a dynamic pass catcher and runner who can make the Dolphins’ offense even more explosive.
19. Washington Football Team: WR Kadarius Toney, Florida
Kadarius Toney may not be getting the buzz that Ja’Marr Chase and DeVonta Smith are getting, but don’t let that fool you. He is an electric receiver who can take the Washington offense to new heights. With the quarterback situation murky, Toney can make life easier for the future signal-caller in Washington.
20. Chicago Bears: QB Mac Jones, Alabama
Mac Jones finally lands with the Chicago Bears after the Washington Football Team and Patriots both pass on him. Jones may not have outstanding physical traits but he’s a tremendous passer who makes precise reads.
With Mitch Trubisky’s future in Chicago a question mark, the Bears will gladly move forward with the former SEC star. Matt Nagy, a former Philadelphia Eagles assistant, finally gets his quarterback.
