817. . . . Round 1: Ja'Marr Chase, LSU. . player

The Philadelphia Eagles offense needs an immediate boost.

Despite sitting out the 2020 season, LSU wideout Ja’Marr Chase is and should be considered this year’s top receiver. The six-foot, 210-pound weapon would be an immediate boost to the Philadelphia Eagles’ offense.

Wide receiver has been a sore subject in The City of Brotherly Love. Philly landed a wideout in the first round of the 2020’s NFL Draft, so you can see why the front office might be interested in going another way. Still, second-year signal-caller Jalen Hurts could use a player with Chase’s skill set.

The former LSU Tiger has all the tools to be a star at football’s highest level of competition. He has strong hands and snatches passes at the appropriate point. He also has the burst to make defenses look silly. What might be his most impressive trait however is his willingness to play in the middle of the defense.

Chase would be an upgrade to the Eagles’ offense right away. With his big-play ability, raw strength, and great route-running. Ja’Marr Chase has the potential to be a true star in Philadelphia.
