They’ve had five opportunities to do so, yet in five tries, the Philadelphia Eagles have never been able to beat a Seattle Seahawks team that had Russell Wilson at the helm on offense. As a matter of fact, ‘DangerRuss’ (as he calls himself on Twitter), seems to find new ways to beat Philly each time the Hawks and Birds meet on a football field.

In 2014, he beat them running and throwing the rock. During the 2019-2020 season, he beat the Birds twice, in the regular season and in the postseason by identical 17-9 margins. In 2020, Birds fans everywhere hoped that things might be different. They weren’t. Russ got them again!

This team can’t seem to solve the puzzle that has been Seattle with Russell Wilson on the roster. Now, it appears that he’s fed up. You already know what comes next. That NFL rumor mill is churning, and people are posting images of him in other jerseys. Now, there’s another narrative that’s gaining steam. This one can be credited to an NFL Network analyst with ties to the so-called ‘America’s Team’.

Nothing irritates the Philadelphia Eagles fans like Michael Irvin.

It would really be something if we could tell you that we’ve come a long way from hearing Birds fans cheer at Veteran’s Stadium when Michael Irvin was driven into the turf. That hasn’t happened though. Irvin hasn’t suited up in an NFL game since 1999, and over 20 years later, he’s still completely capable of creating that sick feeling in the stomach of Birds fans.

Recently, he weighed in on the Russell Wilson drama when he spoke to Cowboys Maven by stating “Quarterbacks suddenly have the power to leave a team, but that also means they have the power to come to a team”. Here’s where things get interesting. Irvin closed his thought by stating “Russell Wilson wants Dak’s chair”. Wait! Where did that come from?

While no one’s heard Russ say that he wants to be with the Dallas Cowboys,  It makes sense. They still don’t seem to want to commit to Dak Prescott, and with a star R&B artist for a wife, Dallas makes more sense than Seattle would. We’ll have to wait and see what happens though.
