The Philadelphia Eagles need to find another corner to team with Darius Slay.

The Philadelphia Eagles made news again as reports surfaced during March’s first week stating that Darius Slay‘s contract has been restructured. It’s a move that will open up somewhere around $9 million dollars in cap space for the 2021 NFL season.

While the front office will need to continue cutting the fat from their cap conundrum, executive vice president and general manager Howie Roseman has a ton to juggle this offseason. The 2021 NFL Draft, free agency, and the earlier mentioned cap issue being among the highlights. Still, even with the knowledge of that, fixing the roster needs to be priority number one.

With that in mind, the last thing Philadelphia Eagles fans want is another season like the one we saw in 2020. While the Birds fought tooth and nail but still failed at winning a second-consecutive NFC East crown, the lack of talent on both sides of the ball was never more present.

Moving forward, the front office needs to do whatever it takes to add talent to both sides of the ball, especially on the defensive backend if they’re ever going to compete with the talented offenses that they’ll encounter in the NFC East.

Here are three cornerbacks that would fit the bill. All of which would almost certainly form a dynamic duo with Darius Slay.
