The Philadelphia Eagles have to find some help for Miles Sanders. No, seriously.

Here’s a hip-hop reference that has nothing to do with Philadelphia Eagles football. Remember when the Ruff Ryders ran things? DMX was on top of the world. Eve was one of the great young female rappers, and one of hip hop’s most beloved collectives had just stolen The Lox from Bad Boy.

There was just one problem with the Ruff Ryders’ formula. They had one producer, Swizz Beats, and they tried to make him the workhorse even though it was clear that he needed help. Sound familiar?

As much as everyone loves to harp on how bad the Birds are at finding wide receivers, they aren’t that much better at finding tailbacks. Sure, they have Miles Sanders, and he’s one of the building blocks for this team’s future, but over the past few years, this team has experimented with the likes of Donnel Pumphrey, Matt Jones, and Josh Adams.

As if that isn’t bad enough, they keep bringing back some of their most banged-up players to play the NFL’s most punishing position. Who knows why they couldn’t see that Jay Ajayi, Corey Clement, and Darren Sproles were cooked. Who knows why so many fans in what’s supposed to be one of the NFL’s most intelligent fan bases thought bringing back LeSean McCoy and Jordan Howard was a wise idea.

Oh, don’t act like you didn’t say it if you did.

The latter on the list of those last two names, Howard, sat out for two months in 2019 due to a ‘stinger’ that we were told weekly meant he was ‘day to day’. Let’s make long stories short. The Philadelphia Eagles need to find Miles Sanders some help before they run him in the ground like the Ruff Ryders tried to do to Swizz. Here are three mid-round prospects that could help if the Birds want one in the NFL Draft.
