Ragas edges out another potential Philadelphia Eagles prospect slightly.

Former Louisiana Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns standout Trey Ragas edges out Arkansas’ Rakeem Boyd for the third spot on this list, and honestly, it came down to one specific reason. In 2020, Ragas found the running lanes a little easier than Boyd did.

Sure, we can argue that the level of competition in the Sun Belt Conference isn’t always up to snuff, especially when you compare the teams that Ragas beat up on to the teams that Boyd had to face on a week-in and week-out basis in the SEC. On the other hand, none of that is a real reason to punish the former.

From 2017 to 2020, Ragas worked himself steadily into the category of being ‘battle tested’. In 49 career games, this five-foot-eleven and 218-pound tailback rattled off 3,572 rushing yards on 596 carries, another 427 yards on 49 receptions, and he reached the end zone 43 times.

Expect him to go in the middle rounds, probably closer to the end of Day 2 and the start of Day 3. He has the potential to develop into a very capable three-down guy.
