The Philadelphia Eagles don’t have many options with which to find a backup QB.

Has anyone taken the time to give the Philadelphia Eagles‘ roster a look recently? If you have, you’ve probably noticed something. Outside of Jalen Hurts, the Birds don’t have any quarterbacks!

Sure, technically, at the time of this story being published, Nate Sudfeld is on the roster. A new league year and a new coaching regime probably ensure that he’s gone.

Let’s get something straight, whether we want to admit this or not, these coaches know more about this stuff than we do. Still, the eyeball test has long shown us that Sudfeld has never done anything to justify the faith that Philly put in him for so long.

He signed a one-year deal on March 24th of 2020, but the clock is ticking. Again, most of Sudfeld’s biggest supporters of the past few seasons have left the franchise. This new coaching regime has no loyalty towards him, but still, we all can attest to the fact that Jalen Hurts definitely needs some other guys in the quarterback room with him.

At the time of this story being published and after Brandon Graham’s restructure, the Birds are still somewhere around $10 million over the cap. They’ll have to continue to work to get under, but once they do, free agency might still be an avenue that this team uses to find a backup signal-caller. Here are some possible options if that’s the case.
