Let’s look at the Philadelphia Eagles’ draft history with Howie Roseman.

The story of Howie Roseman has been an interesting one for the Philadelphia Eagles. Just under four years ago, he was named the Pro Football Writers Association Executive of the Year. He played an integral role in shaping the roster of the 2017 Eagles team that would eventually go on to win the Super Bowl. Believe it or not, Howie Roseman was one of the most beloved men in Philadelphia by some of the fan base.

Though he’s normally cleaning up his own messes, he’s always been skilled at creating cap space. Still, if we were to evaluate some of his signings and trades, he could arguably be seen as one of the best general managers in the NFL.

Roseman has never been afraid of taking a risk, and just a few years ago, Eagles fans loved that about him. Carson Wentz, Doug Pederson, and Howie Roseman seemed destined to bring multiple Lombardi Trophies back to Philadelphia.

It’s an entirely different story now.

As it stands today, the Eagles need a rebuild, and to do so effectively, the team must strike gold with their draft selections. There’s where the concern kicks in because Howie Roseman is more known for missing on his prospects in the past.

No, he wasn’t the only culprit or even the main decision-maker until 2016, Howie Roseman has still had a significant say in all of the Philadelphia Eagles’ drafts since 2010. Let’s pull out the grade book, shall we? Here’s an in-depth look at each of the Eagles’ first-round picks since Roseman became the general manager in 2010.
