882. . . . Rd 3: CB Greg Newsome II, Northwestern. . player

The Philadelphia Eagles need to add talent to the backend of their defense.

At six-foot-one and 190 pounds, Northwestern Wildcats cornerback Greg Newsome II has the size NFL coaches love. The Philadelphia Eagles need a number two corner to team with Darius Slay, and Newsome could be the perfect fit.

A physical specimen, Newsome has a nasty style of play that Eagles fans will love. He has a nose for the ball and loves contact. Even more impressive is his versatility in coverage. Newsome could be the guy to change the fortunes of the defense.

The Philadelphia Eagles land Landon Dickerson with their second third-round selection.

Landon Dickerson is a six-foot-six, 325-pound mountain of a man. With the versatility to be used in a multitude of ways at the next level, he’s an athletic freak with the football IQ to be an offensive leader in the NFL.

The Philadelphia Eagles front office would be wise in solidifying the offensive line to protect Jalen Hurts. If the Birds’ are ever going to compete in the NFC East, they need to fill in every hole possible.
